Is Outpatient Rehab in Las Vegas Right for You?

7 minute read

When considering how to get help, look no further than Vogue Recovery’s outpatient rehab in Las Vegas. We provide a comfortable, safe, knowledgeable, and holistic healing experience. But if you aren’t familiar with what outpatient treatment offers, you can’t make an informed choice to begin treatment. Let’s talk about what makes our outpatient program a valuable option for you.

What Is Outpatient Rehab in Las Vegas?

Outpatient rehab is a level of care that allows individuals to progress to an independent state of self-maintenance. Whether they struggle with substance abuse, mental illness, or co-occurring issues, outpatient care is a continuation of their growth. Most people move into outpatient rehab from inpatient rehab. Thus, during outpatient treatment programs, they move out of the residential center for more independence in their recovery. However, they still attend daily sessions in-center and meet with their care team. The emphasis of OP is preparing to resume normal life as a healthy, sober, self-reliant person. We help our clients achieve this goal through intentional programming.

What Are the Levels of Care in Outpatient Care?

Outpatient rehab is divided into three separate programs that can be transitioned between or joined individually. These are specific program categories that offer people flexibility in what they need their care to look like. To elaborate, the stages of outpatient programming are partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and traditional outpatient. They each look slightly different and align with where an individual is in their recovery and what their obligations at home are.

PHP

Partial hospitalization programming, or PHP, is the earliest stage of outpatient care that represents a mixture of inpatient and outpatient treatment. For example, individuals can join PHP instead of inpatient treatment if they require the extra flexibility. PHP is an accelerated-pace level for those who are early in treatment but cannot live in-center for residential inpatient treatment. Instead, PHP allows them to spend focused time in sessions during the days and return home at night. When completed as a 12-week course, PHP is the first eight weeks.

IOP

The intensive outpatient program, or IOP, can be a continuation of PHP and span the last 4 weeks of the 12. Otherwise, it can be joined as a stand-alone outpatient level. Like in PHP, individuals spend daily hours in treatment to return to their responsibilities at home at night. Because IOP aligns with more traditional outpatient learning, clients have reduced hours from PHP. Additionally, the focus is spent preparing them for the future with relapse prevention planning and healthy coping mechanisms.

OP

Traditional outpatient treatment helps prepare individuals for life after rehab at a more relaxed pace. Rather than race through programming due to personal obligations, traditional OP allows people to truly prepare for the future. Compared to inpatient treatment, outpatient rehab is a stage when individuals participate in reduced therapy hours and move back home. Also, they can work with a larger team that includes a case manager. Together, they will accomplish future planning like resume creation, housing applications, schooling, and life skills training.

Inpatient Rehab vs Outpatient Rehab

Inpatient rehab is an earlier level of care for those who are brand new to treatment. During residential inpatient, clients live in-center for 24/7 medical monitoring. They unpack their illness for the first time and begin to find resilience over their condition. Through therapy and counseling, they learn new ways to manage their disorder. By the time they reach outpatient treatment, they’re ready to keep working on healing but with more flexibility and independence.

What to Expect from Outpatient Alcohol Rehab in Las Vegas

If you’ve come to a place of realizing you need outpatient care, you’re wise to consider your options. You will be able to set your life back on track to health and happiness through rehab. However, it can feel distressing to consider treatment if you don’t know what to expect. The more you understand how our programming works in Las Vegas, the more comfortable you can feel about your recovery.

Individualized Treatment Plans

Each client of Vogue Recovery Center is treated like a unique and valued individual, no matter what they’re going through. We will not see you as a disorder but as a person who is seeking help. You can rest easy knowing every element of your treatment will be tailored to your specific situation. It all starts with your initial intake session. With your therapist, you will create an individualized treatment plan outlining your plan for moving through rehab.

Exceptional Care and Guidance

One thing to look for in an alcohol abuse rehab center is high-quality care. We have you covered at Vogue Recovery Center. Our staff is fully certified and licensed in their roles as therapists, counselors, case managers, and doctors. At Vogue Recovery Center, the heart of our mission is exceptional care and guidance for each of our clients. Every staff member we hire aligns with us on this goal, as it factors into everything we do.

Evidence-Based Psychotherapy for Alcohol Abuse

We provide evidence-based psychotherapy for each of our clients, regardless of their specific substance use disorder. This is because traditional therapy methods are proven to be effective at improving mental health and emotional wellness. We know no person can be truly well if they have unresolved mental pain. Some of the psychotherapies we offer include cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.

Holistic Treatment for Drug and Alcohol Abuse

Along with traditional treatment methods, we also include holistic therapies into our programming. As such, each of our clients participates in a personalized treatment program combining traditional and alternative healing. As a holistic-oriented treatment provider, we believe in the restorative power of whole-body healing. Having a mental or emotional issue doesn’t mean your mind alone should be treated. Such a narrow approach to care doesn’t take into account the rest of the pieces that make up a person. Instead, we prioritize healing for the mind, body, and spirit connectedly. We offer holistic therapies that boost and energize your system as well as those that relax and calm you.

Alumni and Aftercare Support

Notably, we want our clients to remain supported even after they accomplish the amazing feat of graduating from treatment. Moving into alumni status represents their hard work and independence in their recovery. At the same time, individuals can remain fragile early-on after completing treatment. Once leaving the safe bubble of rehab, it can be tempting to fall back into old habits in the “real world.” We support our graduated alumni by providing aftercare support and resources. One especially valuable resource is our Sober Living housing, which are transitional homes for sober individuals. Additionally, we help alumni stay supported by connecting them to support groups and sober events.

What Can Outpatient Rehab in Las Vegas Help With?

Our outpatient addiction treatment in Las Vegas is for people with a wide variety of substance addictions and mental health challenges. As such, we do not put our clients into boxes and we don’t give everyone the same programming. Instead, individuals have their treatment customized to their unique issues. Some of our clients struggle with more than one concern, called co-occurring disorders. If you have coexisting illnesses or only one main concern, you will be able to find help at Vogue Recovery. Some of the issues we serve are outlined below.

Substance Use Disorders

Substance use disorders (SUD) are severe substance addictions centered around drugs and alcohol. They can disrupt mental functioning and physical health, as they lead to many potential health problems.

Alcohol Abuse

Alcohol abuse is a serious issue in the United States, especially in the popular party city of Las Vegas. What many people don’t understand is alcohol is an extremely addictive substance. Over chronic use, it alters your brain messaging so you begin to rely on alcohol to continue living as normal. Our outpatient alcohol rehab in Las Vegas can help you heal from alcohol use disorder (AUD).

Drug Abuse

Drug abuse is a prevalent national crisis, especially when it comes to opioids. In fact, the opioid crisis is responsible for millions of deaths in the United States. Individuals can become addicted to virtually any type of prescription drug, including opioids, benzodiazepines, psychostimulants, prescription medications, and recreational drugs. The best way to overcome drug addiction and resume your life is through outpatient drug rehab in Las Vegas.

Mental Health Disorders

Mental health disorders affect millions of people in the United States. Unfortunately, there is a link connecting substance abuse and mental illness. Self-medication with drugs and alcohol is a frequent occurrence when people haven’t established healthy coping skills. We treat all mental health disorders at Vogue Recovery.

Anxiety

Anxiety is a mental health disorder that causes a person extreme distress. Symptoms of anxiety may include fear, panic, helplessness, guilt, and a sense of powerlessness. Notably, anxiety can be a symptom of anxiety disorders as well as other mental and behavioral disorders. One element of anxiety is how large it feels, which is usually disproportionate to the actual reality of the situation. To treat anxiety, we help our clients consider the validity of their fears. Through intentional exercises, they learn to develop a sense of peace they can access in the midst of panic. Additionally, anxiety medications help many individuals reduce the severity of their symptoms.

Depression

Depression is a mood disorder that influences your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Depressive disorders can leave you feeling trapped inside your head, and stuck in the heaviness of your body. Other symptoms of depression often include sadness, hopelessness, anhedonia, and deep fatigue. Social withdrawal and low self-worth are common results of a depression episode. We help our clients work through their internalized beliefs and learn alternative coping skills so they can manage their symptoms. Notably, we can also help you find the right antidepressant medication to alleviate your symptoms.

Trauma

Trauma is a painful and frightening experience you faced that left you powerless and afraid. When trauma isn’t treated, it can turn into a trauma-related disorder. For example, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a trauma disorder that affects the mind, body, and spirit. Anyone can experience debilitating trauma symptoms, which are unhealthy manifestations of the experience in your body and mind. Further, trauma can stem from adverse childhood experiences or trauma you’ve faced as an adult. We help our clients safely process through their trauma so they can heal from it.
