Ryan Smith

Ryan Smith, MS, is the Director of Nursing for Vogue Recovery Center’s alcohol and drug detox and rehab centers in Phoenix, Arizona. Ryan joined Vogue’s team in October 2021 as a Floor Staff RN, then an admissions RN. In his role as director of nursing, his primary responsibilities include creating standard-of-care guidelines, recruiting and training new staff, and serving as a liaison between the Medical Staff and organization directors. He also manages nurse schedules, evaluates performance, develops long-term goals, and ensures regulatory compliance.

As someone in recovery, Ryan is no stranger to the struggles of addiction. This experience has provided him with the ability to empathize with others struggling with substance abuse. Since committing to sobriety back in early 2017, he has dedicated himself to providing others with the same second chance he got. What he loves most about his work is the ability to change someone’s life for the better.

Ryan was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and grew up in Cave Creek, Arizona. He graduated from ASU in 2011 with a B.S. in Nursing. He has a variety of nursing experience, from Pediatric ICU to Geriatric patient care. In 2023, he was recognized as the Nurse of the Year at Vogue Recovery Center – Phoenix. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his friends and family (wife and two kids), either watching movies or being active outdoors: his favorite activities include hiking, paddleboarding/kayaking, and camping.
